Here was a wine from one of Australia's best known McLaren Vale producers, richly flavoured, built with smooth, savoury tannins and delivering a power-packed but amazingly drinkable red wine. Tatachilla was established in 1903, so they've had over 100 years to perfect the style. The wine is soft, supple and slippery in texture — utterly delicious and will cellar for up to another ten years or so. It's perfect with slow cooked stews, grilled meats, roast vegetables and yet makes for a great drink on its own. It's won a stack of accolades here and overseas; now it's time to bring this wine home. Normally it would retail for $20 but we're getting an amazing deal as this wine will be now exclusive to us.
