Simone et Georges from the South of France is a small label run by a brother and sister that’s ony been around since 2009 but is already making waves in one of the worlds’ most desirable vacation destinations.
The siblings travelled to Kenya and Tanzania for inspiration, returning with the Kikoy – a traditional African cloth made from cotton and discovered that it’s perfect for the beach as it’s soft, absorbent and able to be dyed in vivid colours. Kikoy or kikoi means fabric and often refers to sarong worn by both men and women on the east coast of Africa.
