Black currant mint and cedar are the prevailing characters with milk chocolate and pencil shavings common characters in high quality Cabernet Sauvignon from this region. The palate has black cherry and black currants providing the core whilst spearmint, spice and cedar add another layer of depth and complexity. Milk chocolate combines with finely grained tannins to provide a smooth ride and a touch of acid on this finish gives the wine a wonderful final kick. Lambert Estate Mustang Sally Barossa Valley Shiraz 2018 Deep vibrant garnet. Aromas of vanilla, plum and cherry with hints of savoury black olive. Fresh red berries and cherries complimented with tastes of cinnamon, earth and eucalyptus. The smooth, silky tannins give this Shiraz a dry, mellow finish. Normans Holbrooks Road Pinot Grigio 2020 A delicate pale green with a light blush. Lovely soft aromas of pear and rose petals. Great textural quality in the mouth with an attractive fresh range of flavours including nectarine, nashi pear and crème caramel with almost flinty mineral notes and perfectly balanced acidity. Niche Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 Crimson with magenta/purple hues. Classic, varietal aromas of cassis with some choc-mint all work seamlessly with plums and soft oak undertones. A medium bodied wine with a rounded fruit driven palate that features rich, round velvety tannins, with plum, cassis and cherry flavours whilst the oak is soft and just a passenger. Normans Bin C108 Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2020 Vibrant straw with brilliant clarity. Fresh, grassy herbaceous with vibrant gooseberry. Lively citrus and tropical fruits and a refreshing crisp acidity. Jack In A Box Bendigo Riesling 2019 Pale straw. Lifted floral aromatics with pear and apple notes. Off dry style with lime, apple and pear flavours. Lively yet has a mellow mid palate with a wonderful line of natural fruit acidity adding complexity to the finish. Niche Chardonnay 2020 Pale green/straw colour. Citrus fruits are the hero with quite a deal of depth to the nose and some stone fruit notes sneaking through. Flavoursome mouthfuls of citrus and stone fruit are the hosts and blend seamlessly to create a silky rich mid palate which is voluptuous and well rounded. Some subtle hints of freshly cut grass give an interesting side note whilst crisp acidity bounds the palate into a beautiful complex and drinkable wine.
