And did you ever notice that almost every single time, that witch used the exact same super specific punishment of turning everyone into frogs? Well, let us blow your gosh darn minds for a second because what today’s game suggests is that they’re all the same witch, and more than boiling anyone and eating them or stealing some irreplaceable part of their soul, all she ever really wanted to do was put a ring on it. You play as princes who got turned into frogs for turning her down, and you gotta rescue each of your princesses in turn, because duh, how else are you finally gonna get your cool normal prince body back and get married to them? It’s a chill adventure game, the art is really clean and pretty, it’s got some legit sweet puzzles, and today we’re literally selling it for a buck fifty, so what are you even doing if you ain’t buying it? Only thing is, we have a few questions: one, why frogs? Definitely a crappy punishment, but it seems like a pretty weird choice, at least depending on what other stuff is on the table, and two, why would anyone make a spell where the thing the victim wants to happen most of all, getting kissed by a beautiful maiden, is the only way to break the spell? Like, we’re not really complaining because the premise is a classic and the game is tite, but don’t you think everyone would have a much harder time living happily ever after if turning back into a human meant getting kissed by the witch herself instead?
