Angove Family Winemakers is a family-owned and -operated wine-producing business that saw its beginnings in 1886. It was established by William Thomas Angove and is currently owned and operated by Victoria and Richard Angove (fifth-generation family members). Keeping in mind the future generations, they are now moving towards sustainable and organic practices both in the winery and vineyards.
The old Muscat of Alexandria vines which produce fruit for this wine comes from some of the original plantings in South Australia’s Riverland. In a glass, the drink flaunts a pale pink colour. The nose emanates toasty/yeasty aromas along with lemon and a hint of strawberry. Strawberry and raspberry flavours come forward and the wonderfully effervescent bubbles enhance the fruity flavours of the wine resulting in a sophisticated finish. This wine can be enjoyed as an aperitif.
